Yilhun Lhatso

Yilhun Lhatso is called yulong rasuo in Tibetan. “jade is the heart, dragon is the tip and rasuo is the sacred lake.

Legend has it that the famous Tibetan epic “the life of king gesar” in the hero gesar love princess zhu gu came to the lake, was attracted by the beautiful lake scenery and quiet environment, wandering around the edge of the lake forget to return, her heart nostalgic for the beautiful river and mountain heart sank at the bottom of the sea. Later generations named Yilhun Lhatso in memory of the beads.

Dege Scripture Printing Lamasery

Dege Scripture Printing Lamasery is known as Dege Scripture Printing Lamasery, which is known as “encyclopedia of Tibetan culture”, “bright cultural pearl of Tibetan region” and “treasure house under snowy mountains”

Dege Scripture Printing Lamasery is a precious cultural relic, which is used in traditional Tibetan architecture, woodcut Printing plates which are piled up on shelves, and exquisite frescoes and sculptures.

In today’s world, the complete preservation of more than 270,000 plates, is unique. It should be said that dege sutra printing institute as a world cultural heritage is well deserved.

Qiang Bahrain Temple

Qamdo Qiang Bahrain Temple is located in the intersection of angqu and miscellaneous qu in qamdo town. It is majesticly attached to the hengduan mountains and stands in the red soil layer cut by ancient glaciers.

The temple was founded in 1444 by disciple xi huan songbu of zongkhaba. The main Buddha in the temple is qiangba (great ci) Buddha, so the name of the temple is qamdo qiangba Lin temple.

Karma Gungba

Karma Gungba is located in the secluded valley at the foot of baixi mountain, about 120 kilometers upstream of zhaqu river in kalo district of qamdo city, with 95 kilometers of highway access.

Karma Gungba was founded in 1185 by the kagyu sect’s chief monk, dusongchinba. It is the ancestral monastery of the kagyu sect, for which the kagyu sect is also named. With its unique architecture and numerous cultural relics, the karma temple is one of the famous ancient temples in kang district.

Rancha Grand Canyo

Rancha Grand Canyo is about 110 kilometers away from the county seat, which is the only way to Dana temple. The canyon landscape is unique. The jichu river runs through the canyon, and the jagged rocks are all over the canyon.


Qunguozhaxi is located in the manarong grassland in zadoo county, yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture, which is more than 5,200 meters above sea level. Many streams in the mountains around the grassland look like pearl necklaces hanging upside down in the sky.

Temple of Princess Wencheng

Temple of Princess Wencheng, also known as “Temple of Princess jiasha”, is said to be built by tibetans in tang dynasty in memory of Princess Wencheng.

It is located in yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture of qinghai province, which is located in the southeast of qinghai-tibet plateau and the source of three rivers. It was founded in the tang dynasty and has a history of more than 1,300 years. It is one of the important cultural relics of the ancient tangbo road and the key cultural relic protection unit of qinghai province. It has been listed as a national cultural relic protection unit.

Rock Painting in Lebagou

Lebagou: it means “beautiful valley” in Tibetan. The natural scenery here is magical and charming, the ditch mouth is the historical and cultural site wencheng princess temple, there are more than a dozen cave paintings, leba ditch cliff paintings mainly Buddha, bodhisattva, pilgrims, auspicious animals and so on.

Tongtian River

Tongtian River, the headstream of the Yangtze River. Located in yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture of qinghai province, it starts from nangjibarong in the west of zhiduo county at the confluence point of dangqu and tuotuo rivers of the Yangtze river, flows through zhiduo county, qumalai county, xingduo county and yushu city of qinghai province, and ends at xibatang estuary of jiegu town in yushu city of qinghai province, which is called jinsha river from below.

Carina stone city

Carina stone city, commonly known as Carina. It is located in xinzhai village, 3 kilometers away from jiegu town, the seat of yushu state capital, with an altitude of more than 3,600 meters

Kyegu Monastey

Located in the east of jiegu town, Kyegu Monastey is famous for its magnificent architecture, numerous monks, rich cultural relics and many eminent monks in Tibetan areas of China. In Tibetan, it is called “jiegu thondup gong”, which means “jiegu yicheng continent”.

Located in beimuta mountain, jiegu town, yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture, qinghai province, it is the sakya monastery of the local original zawu tribe.
