The Sakya Monastery lies in the small village of Sakya Monastery in the mountains of the Himalayas. In history, the Sakya Monastery was juxtaposed with the potala palace and the sanye temple.

Monks are strict in their discipline. In summer, yaleh means “summer home” to the effect of “summer home”. This means that in summer, when larvae and chicks are breeding, monks have to stay in monasteries in order to avoid stepping on and injuring these insects and birds.
